Absolutely not. CLT is a fundraising platform where causes/charities gain exposure to the crowds that come to our site to vote for their friends and/or enter the talent contest. Any charity that participates can promote their own unique CLT url to anyone, not only their supporter base. You are offering a fun, family and friends activity that builds confidence, lets anyone express who they are and teaches talent how to contribute to the greater good. We provides valuable, exciting prizes and personal growth to any of your supporter base that does enjoy sharing a talent and wants to enter as well. They just may be thanking you for what they win!

That’s exactly how we help you. When you promote your unique CLT url for folks to visit the site, those people will be presented with your charity’s donation link on multiple locations on our site. BUT for ALL the other traffic that comes to our site via our own marketing and the partner marketing efforts of other larger charities, that will also benefit you as you will also be on our top charities list. That list is searchable by location and sortable by category so that a site visitor that has never heard of your group can still see and choose you for their donation. Now you have new supporters on their way to you to grow your social media and membership base.

And we will encourage all visitors and talent to choose a charity important to them, even local to them for potential volunteer opportunities. We are here to help charities grow. And if just one person in your mailing list decides to enter as talent and they wear your t-shirt and give you a shout out- like we recommend in their performance video- now that video can have thousands (or millions) of views and all those viewers have now just learned about YOU!

Besides the other benefits listed throughout this page there’s some more ways CLT boosts your marketing efforts. For example we will be running a featured charities promotion that rotates equally to all our partner charities/causes right of the front page. Your mission statement, logo, website and direct donation page link will be seen by all our visitors on the Top Charities page. We limit how many we take each season so you are not lost in a sea of many.

Our national press releases announce talent winners each season and certain charities will be noted in those releases as well. We’ll always be looking for charities that are happy and excited to be our partners to include so feel free to email us if this is of interest you anytime.

We have a marketing series focused on inspiring human interest stories we call “Amazing Performers.” We feature a talent performer that has entered the contest along with their favorite charity. They may have entered the contest after seeing the post or email you shared about being a new partner charity or they may have just selected you from the donation dropdown because they love what you do. We will tell the world how your work changes the lives of many and maybe even directly affected this performer or someone they love. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase how your charity has enabled someone to reach a performing dream or just continue something they love but almost lost. We make sure we have categories and prizes available for all levels of talent from hobbyist/amateur all the way up to the seasoned pros. It’s an even playing field for all and public voting rules combined with internal scoring make sure it’s not just a popularity contest. Let’s quickly look at a traditional candy fundraiser. You pay upfront to order many crates of candy. After shipment, organizing boxes, coordinating your members or students to pick them up, do their paperwork, some training and answering questions you wait and hope they all sell all the product they have and keep collected monies safe. After weeks or months you then you calculate and check all the collections and from that point no more funds will come in from all that work. And to make $1250 you would need to sell 25 cases of 50 pieces each at the $2 rate. That’s a lot of transactions.

With Charities Love Talent, you literally fill out a form online and after approval you spread your unique link far and wide and each user that chooses to donate to you gives directly to your site. For free, immediately.

Because we do our best to cover our operational cost with just the entry fee. We come from the NGO world and know how tough it is to raise money and for sure we didn’t want to give a charity or cause only 20% like many restaurant fundraisers do. And we didn’t want to ask tightly budgeted charities to spend money upfront and buy something from us like candy bars and then do all the work to sell them and still make 50% when they can just give us a shot and get 100% by a simple email blast or social post.
