How long have you been helping people with their talent and what got you into it?
I have 24 years experience on teaching. I want to help people in finding their own talent and improving their health, too, because of my experience and background as dancer. When I was a dancer my aim and desire was to feel good in my body and mind and express myself as much as possible, finding my own style and my way of expression, to realize myself and give my ‘voice’ to the world. This is the reason why I feel empathy with my students and I wish to help each one in improving their potential, finding their peculiarity and giving them the possibility to show themselves and their expression to the world.
What has been most satisfying for you in your journey?
I felt really satisfied when I saw my students happy and grateful to me and my support as teacher and also as a ‘friend’. My happiness was to see how much they improved themselves not just as dancers (technique and expression) but also as individuals and feel their love and trust.
How did you learn the professional skills you share with others today? Who or what influences played into that?
I learned my professional skills studying a lot as dancer, teacher, therapist in holistic disciplines like yoga, pilates and Chinese medicine and then teaching and sharing what I learned. After that I founded my own ‘language’ and I wanted to share this to people, to help them. My teachers and colleagues and my travels all over the world to work and study were the best support and the best inspiration for me.
Did you ever feel a struggle to keep going or sometimes want to give up? If so, how did you overcome it?
Yes, I felt a struggle more that one time to keep going and sometimes I wanted to give up. I overcome it thinking about the good things that happened and satisfactions I had in my past and all the people (friends, colleagues, students, teachers, etc.) who trusted in me. Things in life could change in a moment, so we need to think positive and know that we have the power to realize our dreams. We just need to try.
What are your thoughts on the concept of helping talent learn the spirit of contribution to the greater good and using their talent for good?
I think that we all should use our talent to give our contribution to the grater good, the world and society for good. Humans, now more than before, needs to feel hopefully, in well being and in solidarity among each other. The arts, like dance, are the best way to give important messages, an international language that touches directly the soul and the spirit of people.
Do you have other future aspirations for yourself, your business or training of others?
I wish to teach my technique and style in Schools, Institutions and University all over the world, especially in USA, Australia and Canada, sharing it to dancers, performers and teachers and create my performances too. I wish also to plan training programs for professionals and Qualify them as Streamotion Technique teachers.
Is there anything our audience could do to help with the above?
A good help from audience is sharing my work, taking my classes (online or in person) and disseminating the knowledge of my technique to private Schools and public Institutions and Universities (as well by social media), talking about that and promoting that, saying sincerely how innovative, valued and original it is and also talking about me as teacher.
Please share any standout moments in your experience that would inspire other performers.
I have a lot of great moments in my experience. The best moments are: when I was in New York, UK and Spain for studying and my teachers asked me to teach classes and workshops; when audiences after my performances came to me and told me how amazing where my choreographies and the great emotions, the magic atmosphere they felt; when my students told me how much they where grateful to me, and how good in health and satisfied of themselves as dancers they felt.
What is your best piece of advice you would give to any talent out there?
Never give up and trust to yourself and to your life. You have your talent, just need to discover it. People are different, the World is really big and you have an infinity of chances and possibilities, so you’ll surely find the right place for you in the best moment.
